Part of the regeneration of the former Milk factory in Vicenza, this project takes the form of a playful arrangement of jute and angled timbers to filter the harsh sun and shade an otherwise exposed plaza.

The undulating deck, integrated table, linear bench and bar mediate between usable surfaces and structure. The pavilion rests lightly on the gravel, its feet unfixed. Cast lengthways beside the existing planting and benches, it establishes a complementary linear presence within the boundary of the plaza.

Primary timber portals borrow from the industrial stature of the Centrale del Latte and reveal a logic of collective assembly, while pitched secondary members recall the surrounding residential roofs of Vicenza. The hanging textiles soften its thresholds; lending shade, privacy and a strong sense of enclosure.
