The outdoor community classroom explores architecture and design as positive vehicles for learning, creating a flexible outdoor space through a simple modular timber structure. Carefully positioned within the existing slope, the intervention sits gently among the park’s 300–400-year-old olive trees.

Conceived as a single horizontal gesture, the structure accommodates two tables with integrated benches, framed by seven modular timber portals that define an outdoor room within the grove. A V-shaped pergola filters sunlight, creating shifting patterns of shade that complement the shadows of the surrounding olive trees.

Through its simple construction and adaptable arrangement, the classroom is both a place for learning and an opportunity to learn through making.
